Cue + Mailchimp

Email marketing

The short version

Point a Cue QR code at your Mailchimp signup form or landing page, print it, and every scan takes people straight to joining your list. Because each placement gets its own code, Cue's analytics show which flyer, poster, or shelf sticker actually signs people up — and when the campaign changes, you repoint the code instead of reprinting. Works on every Cue plan, no connection setup needed.

Works on: Every plan — you're simply pointing codes at Mailchimp pages

What you can do with Mailchimp

  • Grow your list from physical places

Table talkers, till receipts, packaging, event banners — anywhere a person stands is a place they can join your list, one scan and one tap away.

  • Learn which placement earns the signup

Give the counter card and the window poster different codes pointing at the same form. The scan numbers tell you which spot deserves the space.

  • Reuse the same printed code campaign after campaign

When this month's promotion ends, point the code at next month's landing page. The print stays up; only the destination moves.

Before you start

  • A Mailchimp signup form or landing page — copy its web address (Mailchimp shows it when you publish).
  • A Cue account — the free plan is enough to start.
  • Somewhere to print or display the code.

Set it up

  1. Copy your Mailchimp page's address

In Mailchimp, open your signup form or landing page and copy its public web address.

  2. Create a dynamic code in Cue

In Cue, go to Dashboard → QR Codes, create a new dynamic code, and paste the Mailchimp address as its destination. Style it with your colours and logo in the designer.

  3. One code per placement

Making a poster, a flyer, and a counter card? Duplicate the code so each placement has its own — that's what makes the analytics tell you which one works.

  4. Download, print, and watch the numbers

Export the code print-ready, put it up, and check Analytics in Cue to see scans per placement — alongside signups in Mailchimp.

Good to know

  • Cue counts scans; Mailchimp counts signups. Comparing the two tells you both which placement pulls people in and how well the page converts them.
  • Dynamic codes can be repointed forever — a laminated code on the counter can serve years of campaigns.
  • This works identically with any email tool — Klaviyo, Brevo, MailerLite — because you're pointing a code at a page, not wiring accounts together.

Questions, answered

Do I need to connect my Mailchimp account to Cue?
No. You point a Cue code at your Mailchimp page's address — there are no accounts to link, no passwords to share, and nothing to break later.
Can I see which printed placement got me the most signups?
Yes — give each placement its own code pointing at the same form. Cue shows scans per code; Mailchimp shows total signups. The placement with the scans is the one earning them.
What happens when my campaign changes?
Repoint the code at the new page in one click — it's live in seconds. Nothing needs reprinting, which is the whole point of a dynamic code.
Does this need a paid Cue plan?
No — pointing dynamic codes at Mailchimp pages works on the free plan. Paid plans add more codes, more tracked scans, and extras like scheduling destination changes in advance.
