Terms of Service
The short version: point codes at honest destinations, pay for what you use, and we'll keep the redirects running.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Cue Labs Ltd ("we", "us") governing your use of the Cue platform, website, API, and related services. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. The service
We provide tools to create static and dynamic QR codes, manage redirect destinations and rules, and view analytics about scans. Dynamic codes depend on our redirect service remaining available; we operate it with the care described in our security page.
3. Your account and content
- You are responsible for your account credentials, your team's use of the service, and the destinations your codes point to.
- You retain all rights to content you upload (such as logos). You grant us a licence to host and process it solely to provide the service.
- You must have the rights to any destination content and any trademarks used in your codes.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to:
- link to malware, phishing, or deceptive content, or disguise a destination in a misleading way;
- send people to illegal content or content that infringes others' rights;
- probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or circumvent plan limits and rate limits;
- resell the service without a white-label or partnership agreement.
5. Plans, billing, and changes
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in GBP, at the prices published on our pricing page.
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period.
- Existing codes keep redirecting if you downgrade or cancel — limits apply to creating new resources, not to codes already published.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid-up period.
6. API and webhooks
API keys are confidential. Usage is subject to documented rate limits. Webhook endpoints you register must be yours, and you are responsible for verifying signatures as documented. We may throttle or suspend API access that threatens platform stability, and will tell you when we do.
7. Data protection
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. For scan analytics we act as your processor; a Data Processing Agreement is available on Enterprise plans. You are responsible for ensuring your campaigns comply with laws that apply to you.
8. Availability and support
We target high availability for the redirect service and provide support by email. The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance we will try to announce in advance.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the content of destinations you configure. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination we will make your data available for export for 30 days unless the law requires otherwise.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction in its courts. If we update these terms materially we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or in-product. Questions? support@scancue.co. Last updated 3 July 2026.
