Cue + Airtable
Campaign trackerThe short version
Cue connects to Airtable through Zapier: every time a code is created or its destination changes, a record lands in your Airtable base — so the campaign tracker your team already lives in shows every code, current destination included. Scan totals can be added on a schedule by a developer, or pasted from a CSV whenever you need them.
Works on: Business and Enterprise plans (webhooks); CSV import works on every plan
What you can do with Airtable
Every code, tracked automatically
New codes appear as records the moment they're created — name, short link, destination — so the tracker never lags behind what's actually in the field.
Destinations that stay honest
When someone repoints a code, the record updates too. The base always says where each printed code really goes — no stale spreadsheet columns.
Results beside the plan
Add scan numbers — from a CSV or a scheduled pull — and each campaign row shows what its print actually did, right next to budget and status.
Before you start
- An Airtable base where campaign records live (any plan that works with Zapier).
- A Cue Business or Enterprise plan — webhooks are included on both.
- A Zapier account with premium apps, connected to your Airtable.
Set it up
Connect Cue to Zapier
Follow our Zapier guide: a "Catch Hook" trigger in Zapier, and its address pasted into Cue at Dashboard → Webhooks → "New endpoint".
Send new codes into Airtable
Add "Airtable → Create Record" as the action, mapping the code's name, link, and destination to your fields. Every new Cue code becomes a record.
Add scan numbers your way
Paste in totals from a CSV export whenever you report, or ask a developer to top the base up on a schedule using Cue's developer access.
Good to know
- Records flow when codes are created, changed, or retired — scan counts come separately, via CSV or a scheduled pull, because Cue doesn't send per-scan messages.
- Use one base field for the Cue short link — it's the stable identifier that ties the record to the code forever.
- Make works identically to Zapier here if that's what your team uses.
Questions, answered
- Can Airtable show live scan counts?
- Not scan-by-scan. Totals can refresh on a schedule (a developer sets that up once) or be pasted from a CSV export when you report — for a campaign tracker, daily numbers are almost always enough.
- What ends up in each Airtable record?
- Whatever you map in Zapier: typically the code's name, its short link, its current destination, and when it changed. Nothing about individual scanners is ever included.
- We plan in Notion, not Airtable — same idea?
- Yes, identically: Zapier's Notion actions work the same way. Any tool Zapier can write to can be your tracker.
